On a straightforward block with easy access and no old fence to remove, the final price usually lands close to that figure. Put the same fence on a sloped block in Ellenbrook, or in the loose sand you get out toward Alkimos where footings need to go deeper, and you’re looking at several hundred dollars more once those factors are priced in.

Colorbond costs less than heavier-duty systems like Garrison because I’m working with standard rather than reinforced framing. It also carries none of the compliance requirements pool fencing does under WA’s Building Regulations 2012, which keeps the job simpler and faster to run.
